Description
Bee Bigger is an entry level game that teaches about comparing and size, adding some nice physical movement and theming to the mix.
Your table is turned into a beautiful garden full of flowers. Each player controls one bee, which is allowed to go anywhere at any time.
That’s right: this is a cooperative game without turns. You work together, you move your bees together, you are always moving. This is ideal for playing with young kids, who usually can’t sit still for long!
So, what’s the challenge?
- Whenever your bee lands on a flower, you must add your next flower tile on top.
- But flowers can only go from large to small, so you must find the RIGHT flower for your bee. Even though players can always move … you have to work together to make sure you don’t arrive at a flower too early or too late.
- If you bump into another player’s hand/arm, though, you must BUZZ and FREEZE. Wait for the Queen Bee to unfreeze you with a tap.
It’s recommended to let the Guardian (parent/teacher) be the Queen Bee on your first few games. Their role isn’t difficult, but it’s still a special role and a crucial one for making the game work. Once players understand it, you can make any kid the Queen Bee.
You can also move to the expansions then. They make the game harder by adding a time limit, by introducing some simple counting as you work towards a high score, and more.
Like most of our games, the rulebook contains a page containing some fun facts about bees, as well as a “Guardian’s Guide” with tips for how to apply this game for different purposes or playing groups.
What a buzz!

Charm: Board Game
This product is part of the Board Game charm.
Visit its main page to learn more about what that means. Below is a summary:
Board Games are simply physical games (as opposed to video games). They could be played using cards, without a board, with players physically moving around, anything.
Our board games follow the rule that your first game should only require a single page of setup + rules. Most of them are cooperative multiplayer experiences.
Spell: My First Comparisons
This resource is part of the My First Comparisons topic (or "spell").
Earlier topics taught Apprentices to identify if things are the same or not. This topic takes the next step: HOW are they different? This also gently introduces the idea of sequencing: putting things in order based on … something.
This resource also covers other topics. To keep things simple, the curriculum always considers the first topic listed to be the most important.
